    Where: 80 mile front running from Southern Belgium through the Ardennes Forest.
    What: It was the last major Nazi offensive force against the Allies.
    Why: Hitler wanted to split the Allied Powers up while the Allies were heading towards Germany, and to destroy the Allies ability to supply themselves with enough weapons/soliders.

    What: He committed suicide 50 feet below the Chancellery buildings in Berlin after he blamed the loss on the jews and realized the Germans had lost the war.
    Why: It proved that the Germans had no chance and that his Reich was a failure.

    Where: Berlin, Germany
    What: Hitler blamed the Jews for the loss in the war after they were defeated by the Soviet Union. A week later, Eisenhower accepted the surrender.
