  • Japan invades China

    China was completely resisting the expansion of Japanese territiory thus starting the Sino-Japanese War. While trying to overthrow the Chinese government Japan occupied a lot of Eastern China. After a stalemate was proclaimed Japan was sent to Southeast Asia where they were defeated in 1945 by the allied forces. This defeat ended Japanese occupation of china.

  • Munich Conference

    The Munich Conference was between Neville Chamberland and Adolf Hitler mostly. Hitler wanted to take control of the Sudetenland and Czechoslovakia. Benito Mussolini, dictator of Italy, came up with a "pact" to keep Hitler from completely taking over Czechoslovakia. The pact allowed Germany to, without taking over Czechoslovakia completely, take control of the Sudetenland.

  • Pearl Harbor

    Japan was looking to expand it's territory like some European countries had done. To expand they needed a place with natural resources so their expansion wouldn't fail. Pearl Harbor, Hawaii was a military base and the perfect target for Japan to attack to get supplies. America was a definite target for Japanese expansion. Japan's bombing of Pearl Harbor let to the Unites States entering World War II.

    Battle of the Bulge

    German forces planned to slpit the British and Anerican Allied forces in half so they could destroy the allied armies. U.S. "spies" kept watch over the germans and overheard the plan, they did not know a date, but tried to be as prepared as possible. The German army attacked a weak portion of the American army and got through to Elsenborn Ridge, Belgium. the U.S. army left German units short of men and equipment. It was the largest and bloodiest battle fought by the U.S. in World War II.
