  • Munich Pact

    Munich Pact
    The Munich Pact signing took 2 days, dates ranging from December 28th to 30th, 1938. This was a meeting between the leaders of Britain, France, and Germany (Hitler). This pact withheld a new agreement stating Britain and France wouldn't oppose Hitler's taking of Czechoslovakia and Hitler agreed. He also promised he didn't have any other plans to take other parts of Europe. This act was important because it help peace within Europe for a small period of time.
  • Non-aggressive Pact

    Non-aggressive Pact
    On February 1939, Hitler takes the rest of Czechoslovakia, breaking the Munich Pact. On August 23rd, 1939 Hitler signs a new agreement called the "Non-aggressive" Pact with the Soviet Union. This pact stated that Germany wouldn't attack the Soviet Union and vise versa. This pact was important because it freed up Hitler to pursue his domination over the rest of Europe without the dear of the Soviet intervention.
  • Tripartite Pact

    Tripartite Pact
    The Tripartite Pact (Signed on September 27th, 1940) was an agreement, that would last 10 years, between the Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, and Imperial Japan stating that they were allies in WWII and their joined forces would win the war. This was an importance in war because it caused a majority of the larger countries to join together which overall, gave us a harder war to fight.
  • Lend-Lease Bill

    Lend-Lease Bill
    On March 8th, 1941 the Lend-Lease Bill was passed. This bill stated that the USA would lend or lease military equipment to Britain to help them fight the war. At this point in the war, the United States was a neutral country and we tried our best not to fight ourselves. This Bill was important because with our best weapons, we could still win the war without fighting, we just had the UK do it for us.
  • Pearl Harbor

    Pearl Harbor
    Pearl Harbor was set place on December 7th, 1941. The Japanese Navy attacked a United States Naval base located on the island Oahu, on Hawaii. Within 2 hours after the attack, 18 US warships had been sunk and more than 2,300 US citizens were killed, with over 3,400 being injured. This event is important through the ending of the war because this attack shocked and infuriated the American people, leading us to declare war on them no more than a day later.
  • Battle of Stralingrad

    Battle of Stralingrad
    The battle of Stalingrad lasted 6 months with starting on August 23rd 1942, and ending on February 2nd, 1943. In this battle, the Soviet Union won against the German. This was a poorly planned battle of the German's side because they fought in the snow and the temperatures were below freezing, causing some soldiers to freeze to death. This was an important battle because the win from the Soviet stopped the German army from moving Eastwards.
  • Operation Overloard

    Operation Overloard
    Also known as "D-day", was set place on June 6th, 1944 in Normandy, France. This battle took place on Omaha Beach where American General, Dwight D. Eisenhower was one of the leaders of this offensive. With 750,000 allied forces coming to shore, we won the battle over the German Nazi party by just barely. This event in WWII is important because this would be the beginning of the end for German occupation of France.
  • Battle of the Bulge

    Battle of the Bulge
    The Battle of the Bulge, Hitler's final offensive battle, took place from December 16th, 1944 to January 25th, 1945. This battle mostly took place in the ardennes forest of Belgium. This battle was important to WWII because it stopped the German Nazi party from moving across the Eastern front.
  • Hitler's Death

    Hitler's Death
    On April 30th, 1945, Hitler committed suicide by shooting himself in the head, inside his secret bunker with his current wife. His bunker was located in Berlin, Germany. This was important because the death of Hitler threw the Nazi party out of control and sent them everywhere not sure of what to do. This allowed us to free prisoners from camps and then kill or send Nazi soldiers to jail.
  • 1st Japan Bombing

    1st Japan Bombing
    On August 6, 1945, the American bomber Enola Gay dropped a five ton bomb over Japan's city of Hiroshima. The nickname for this bomb was "Little Boy", but it killed over 120,000 people within seconds of the explosion. This was a major lose for the Japanese but they still didn't surrender until we dropped the next bomb 3 days later.
