    On July 7, 1937, there was a clash between Chinese and Japanese forces. Japan decided to launch and undeclared attack on China that would start of a war between Japan and China. They did so, because Japan declared that it would stop the flow of communism from Russia that was flowing into China.

    In December of 1937, Japanese soldiers walked into China's capital of Nanking and started to kill 300,000 people of the 600,000. After all the Soldiers were killed by the Japanese, the soldiers turned there attention to the Women and proceeded to do as the Name of this Event suggest.

    On September 1st, 1939, Germany suddenly attack Poland. Within weeks of Germanies attack on Poland, Polands army had been defeated. Two days after the attack on Poland, England and France declared was on Germany.

    During World War 2, Germany used a tactic that was suppose to go agaisnt that of trench warfare. This tactic was called Blitzkrieg, or "lightning war". It was mostly used from the attack on Poland in September 1st, 1939, to a time in March of 1940.

    On June 22, 1941, Hitler launched a massive attack on Soviet that was called Operation Barbarossa. Though it failed and it was because of this failure that led to Germany fighting a two front war.

    On December 7th, 1941, Japanese forces launched a suprise attact on a navel port that was located in Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. The Japanese were able to destroy nearly 20 ships and nearly 2000 American Soldiers died.

    On January 20th, 1942, 15 high ranking officials in Germany gathered to discuss how they would handle Jewish people. They decided on a code name for the physical annihilation of European Jews. The code name was called the Final Solution.

    This day represents the day that there was victory in Europe. This is the day where German soldiers laid down there arms and surrendered to the allied forces.
