Canada gave food to the Dutch people and they were so happy that they threw flowers to the Canadian soldiers. This war ended in 1945 since the Germany surrendered.

    The Battle of Atlantic was starting from 1939 to 1945 when Canadian ships sent supply ships to Britain. The Germans used the U-boats to sink supply ships while the Canadians used the corvettes (small gun ship) to protect the convoy (supply ship). Canada helped a lot on supporting Britain in this war and safely escorted 25,000 merchant ships to Britain.

The Battle of Britain is a air battle which has many air forces. 25% of the pilots in the Royal Air Force (RAF) that defeated the Germans Air Force were Canadians. Canadians fighters helped a lot in this air battlel, 3000 Nazi planes were shot down and so Germany couldn't invade Britain.

    The Battle of Dieppe is when the allies launched a major raid on French coast port of Dieppe. The allies tried to scare the Germans but it failed at last. There are 900 Canadians died, 1000 wounded, and 1900 became prisoners of Germany. They lost the battle so badly and so they had learnt a lot from it and would not make the same mistake again.
