    The Rape and Massacre of Nanking
    This was a time before World War 2 initially starts. It last 6 weeks starting in December. In those 6 weeks, Imperial Japanese soldiers murdered Chinese civilians and disarmed combatants. An estimation of 40,000 to over 300,000 were injured or dead. All of this was a result from, the Japanese taking over Nanking.

    On September 9th 1939, Germany invades Poland. This simply happened because Adolf Hitler, dictator of Germany, wanted to gain back territory that was lost through the Treaty of Versailles. This is also when the blitzkrieg strategy was used.

    After America cuts off oil trade with Japan, Japan's Navy Air Service sent a military strike and struck Pearl Harbor. This killed and injured many civilians in the area. This is also what made America join the war.

    On January 27th, 1945 is when the concentration camp in Auschwitz was in operation. Set up clearly by the leader of Nazi Germany, Hitler and was primarily for those of the Jewish race and religion. Many Jews were often killed or maltreated.

    It was a major battle between the United States and the island of Iwo Jima. It was the bloodiest battle of the Pacific Ocean in World War 2. The result was an american victory.

    The battle of Okinawa was another battle between the Japanese forces and American forces. This is also when American created the Tenth Army. This resulted in the allies winning.
