    The japanese were scared that China was going to try and stop trading with them so in return they attack them. They take the main area in China to gain power over them.

    On this date the new Chancellor of Germany because appointed and put him in the position to control all of German at his will. From there he made major choices such as to stop paying respirations.
  • Invasion of Ethiopia

    Invasion of Ethiopia
    Mussini was trying to restore the glory of Rome so he felt that he needed to invade Ethiopia which was the last independent country in Africa. Italy also needed the labor and resources from Ethiopia.
  • Munich Conference

    This conference was held by Great Britain, France, Italy and Germany to figure out if the Germans could take over parts of Czechoslovakia. There were no representatives from Czechoslovakia to go and represent them. This was apart of the plan to appease Hitler so he would not start World War 2.

    On this date, the German Nazi party started to attack the Jewish population. He started to seize their land and property while killing some and putting them into camps.

    This pact was between Germany and the U.S.S.R stating that they would not fight against each other but instead work together. This was apart of Hitler's plan to invade Poland and have the U.S.S.R to help them and not oppose them.

    Russia and Germany forces moved into Poland marking the start of World War II. Russia from the West and Germany from the right so that the polish people could not flee. They divided Poland between the two powers.

    The battle of France also known as Invasion of France was after France declared war on Germany. Germany destroyed France because they were still weak from World War I. France ended up being seized by Germany making and Axis victory.
  • Battle of Britain

    Battle of Britain
    The battle of Britain was right after Germany took over France. Germany's goal was to take over all of the allied powers. Germany started bombing raids on London and other major cities in Britain. Britain was being destroyed but they never gave up, if they did that would have been the end of World War II.
  • Pearl Harbor

    The Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor which was the start of American involvement in the war. This destroyed many American Navy ships angering the Americans.
  • Stalingrad

    Stalingrad
    Germany broke the non-aggression pact between Russian by starting to attack them on late August. This will turn Russia against the axis powers and they will join the allies. This was a very brutal battle between the two powers. Russia won the battle.
  • Normandy Invasion

    All of the European Allies including the United States had this plan to overwhelm the Germans that were on the coast of France. This resulted in a massive loss of life and the Germans retreating from France so that the allies could move in. This was one of the largest allies victory in World War II
  • V-E Day (Victory in Europe Day)

    V-E Day (Victory in Europe Day)
    This day marks the end of the fighting in Europe. The Germans Nazi party gave the allies unconditional surrender. This was not the end of World War II there was more to come in the future.

    On this day America dropped the first Atomic bomb ever on Hiroshima. It wiped out almost the entire population of Japanese. A few days later after the Japanese refusal to give America unconditional surrender. America dropped another atom bomb on Nagasaki.

    V-J Day (Victory over Japan Day)
    On this date, Americans won over Japan. The Japanese gave Americans unconditional surrender after the Americans dropped the atom bombs on them and killing about half of their population.
