    Second Sino-Japaness War

    Japaness Agarison in China started with the invasion and occupion of the region of Manchuria. This started years of agarsion against the two coutries, although due to a civil war going on in China, the official war didn't start till 1937 and only because the two factions decided to fight together. China had major support from countries like Britain, France, and the United State, and even a bit of aid from Germany till its allience with Japan in 1938. The war ended around the same time WW2 ended
  • Germany Annexes Austria

    Germany Annexes Austria
    Austrilian Social Democrats for a long period of time wanted to be part of Germany, but when the Nazis toke over they weren't really that intersested. But Hitler wanted to have Austria, being an native Austrian himself, so in 1938 he persured Chancellor Schuschnigg into allowing more Nazi presents hoping to avoid invasion. But on March 12, 1938 German Troops invaded Austria and forced the citenzes to accepted Anschluss and in April 10, Austria was no more.

    In 1938, Hitler threatened to unleash a European war unless the Sudetenland, a border area of Czechoslovakia containing an ethnic German majority, was surrendered to Germany. The leaders of Britain, France, Italy, and Germany held a conference in Munich, Germany and agreed to give Germany Sudentenland if he promised peace.

But after when the Nazis invade France and Britain demaned them to remove their army by Sep. 3, but when the day come the Nazis had not listen, France decleared war at 5pm and on 11:15 pm Britain declared war on Germany.     In the past years the US had past many diffent Neutrality Acts to maintian peace. There are 4 of them passed on 1935,1936,1937,and 1939 each of them having their own standards. The Neutrality Act of 1939 was in responce to the sudden outbreak of war in Europe in the last couple of months. It sbanned U.S. ships from carrying goods or passengers to belligerent ports but allowed the United States to sell munitions, although on a “cash‐and‐carry” basis.

    Germany invades France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.

    Germany began its invasions of Belgium, the Netherlands, and France on May 10,1940.The French and the British try to attck the Nazis in Belgium but get them selfs stuck between Germany's larger army. German commander begins to air raid Rotterdam on May 14, causing the Netherlands to surnder. He later strikes Paris on June 3 weaking its defences. The Germans having won battle after battle reach Paris and easily defeating the last line of defence, forcing French leaders to sign armistice.

    Under the codename Operation Barbarossa Nazi Germany invaded the Soviet Union on June 22, 1941, in the largest German military operation of World War II. This broke their peace treaty of 1939 made before the invation of Poland. This caused the USSR to declere war on Germany thus siding with the Allies. By the end of the war the USSR lost over 20 million people.

    On December 7, 1941 Japan messed with the bull, they attacked the military port of Pearl Harbor that housed a big amount of the US navy, in order to supress the US, because they feared they might stop them.The Japanese managed to destroy nearly 20 American naval vessels, including eight enormous battleships, and more than 300 airplanes. More than 2,000 Americans soldiers and sailors died in the attack, and another 1,000 were wounded. The next day the US declared war against Japan.

In June of 1942 the Nazis started using deadly chimical gas to kill off the jews who residented the camp.

    Operation Torch was officially the first battle fought by American solders in WW2v in the European Theather, it involved the defeat of German and Italisn troops in French North Africa. US attacked Europe fisrt because it seemed easier and it would do more good. The Operation ended with Allied controling the Middle East and Egypt.

    On June 6 1944 the tides of the War turned greatly with the invation of Normandy. More than 160,000 Allied troops landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily-fortified French coastline. This was the most important day in the war, it gurantied Allied control of European land and the ability to counterattck Germany. If this day gone a diifent way the Allies would had lost the war.

    One of the most famouse Holocaust stories, Anne Frank and her family decided to hid in an attaic of a family friend. They his there for a long period of time and all we know from their experience is from the eyes of a young girl Anne Frank. On Aug 4 1944 someone reports the Nazis about seeing someone in the Attic of the company. Anne and her family are found and send to consentration camps.

    After 4 years of German comtrol Paris is freed thanks to the brave efforts of the Resistance in Paris. With the help of French General Jacques Leclerc the Resistence manged to defeat the remaining GERman Troops in Paris .More than 500 Resistance fighters died in the struggle for Paris, as well as 127 civilians

    One thing that came along in WW1 and WW2 was the bombing of civilian populated cities. Combine this with the Atomic bomb, the mother of all bombs capale of strikeing everything from a 15 mile radius from its explotion. And you have the largest civilian casulity in the War, when Americans dropped one of two A-Bomb on Hiroshima and then 3 days later onto Nagasaki, Japan.
