    After the Japanese attack on pearl harbor, America decided the best course of action was to send all US citizens of Japanese decant to interment camps. Other countries in North and South America soon followed. They were later released on January 2nd 1945. This event in known as one of the biggest human rights violations the American government has ever committed.

    D-Day is known as a massive invasion launched by the allies on the Normandy beaches in Northern France. 156,000 allied troops had landed by the end of the day. A couple days later there were 326,000 troops. The allies captured France from the Germans. This event is known as the beginning of the end for ww2.

    After all the atrocities the Germans committed in ww2 the allies were closing in on Berlin. Not wanting to face his crimes Hitler killed himself. A short time later the Germans Met with the allies in France. They agreed to a surrender.

    On August 6th the US dropped the worlds first atomic bomb. They then dropped a second atomic bomb on on August 9th. After a attempted coup on the Japanese government the Japanese surrendered on August 15th.

    The Nuremberg Trials were the trials that held Nazis accountable for there war crimes. Many countries suggested that they just mass execute high ranking Nazis and others that committed war crimes. The US then convinced them to make them go to trial so all there crimes would be documented to prevent the crimes happening in the future.
