This is the date in history where the U.S dropped the first ever atomic bomb in the city of Hiroshima, Japan. After a warning and chance to surrender the Japanese did not show any signs of slowing down or stopping which warranted this bombing.

After the first bomb was dropped Japan still showed no signs of surrender. 3 days later we dropped a second, the last, atomic bomb in Jpan in the city of Nagasaki. This is what led Japan into surrender.
