This is was one of the first major losses Germany faced on the Eastern front. After lots of intense fighting the Alllied powers left a giant bulge in the Germans defense line which is where this battle got it's name. This was a huge victory for the Allies. -

A-Bomb first used
This is the date in history where the U.S dropped the first ever atomic bomb in the city of Hiroshima, Japan. After a warning and chance to surrender the Japanese did not show any signs of slowing down or stopping which warranted this bombing. -
2nd A-bomb in Nagasaki
After the first bomb was dropped Japan still showed no signs of surrender. 3 days later we dropped a second, the last, atomic bomb in Jpan in the city of Nagasaki. This is what led Japan into surrender. -
