Thomas Woodrow Wilson was born. ME
On late night of December 28 1856, Thomas Woodrow Wilson was born, in Staunton, Virginia. His father, Joseph, was a minister and his mother, Jessie, came from a family of ministers as well. Woodrow has two sister- Marion and Annie. -
President of Princeton University. ME/CE
Woodrow went to study in a college/university called College of New Jersey which is now called Princeton University. He grew up to be a teacher, and a lot of people said he was a compelling speaker full of ideas, therefore Wilson was invited to lecture at universities all around the world. When he grew up he decided to come back and teach and ended up being president of the University. -

One day, at 10pm Wilson got the news saying he had defeated Republican Vivian M. Lewis. Lewis was the State Banking and Insurance Commissioner. Fifteen of the twenty-one New Jersey counties went for Wilson. -

Wilson won the president election in November 5 , 1912. He would be sworn to be president in March 4, 1913. He had four months to prepare. Since he knew this life change will have his nose shoved in piles of paper, he decided to take his family (Ellen-wife, Margaret- first born, Jessie- second and Eleanor- third) on a one month vacation to Bermuda, a British Island in the Atlantic. He was reelected for a second term of being president in 1917 -

Woodrow Wilson was part of the "Big Four". The "Big Four" included Georges Clemencau of France, David Lloyd George of Great Britain, Vittorio Orlando of Italy, and Woodrow Wilson of the U.S. They talked about getting peace and came up with a one important point: Member nations would provide security for one another. They also talked about how to punish Germany after the War. Wilson then got severe headaches , coughing and stomach pains because he couldn't handle all the arguing. -

World War I started in late July 1914 when Germany declared war on France, Russia and Great Britain. Wilson kept Germany out of the war and to not pick any sides, to keep the country safe. However, in Apirl 6 Wilson declared war on Germany because even though they weren't involved American citizens were still getting killed. The war ended in 1919. This connects to the modern day, because the war determined country's borders.
