    Fall of the Roman Empire

    Fall of the Roman Empire
    The Roman Empire overthrown by the Germanic Leader Odoacer. He was the first Barbarian to rule in Rome. The barbarians attack on Rome partially stemmed from a mass migration caused by the Huns' invasion of Europe.

    The Middle Age (Dark Age)

    The Middle Ages aka Medieval Era, it was the time between the fall of the Roman Empire and the beginning of modern world. The military leader was Charlemagne. After Charlemagne died, Western Europe was left without a good leader.

    After World War II, the United States and the Soviet Union were the world's strongest nations. They were called "superpowers." They had different ideas about economics and government. They fought a war of ideas called the Cold War.
