Vladimir Munk was born in 1925, in what was then Czechoslovakia.

In December 1942, Vladimir along with his parents and the rest of the Jews of Pardubice (the town he lived in) were taken to Terezín.

In the autumn of 1944, Vladimir and his parents were deported from Terezín to Auschwitz, where both his father was sent immediatly to the gas chambers (October 1).

Vladimir's Mother was also sent to the gas chambers on October 12.

On January 22 some prisoners, Vladimir among them, succeeded to escape further death march and were liberated by Soviet Soldiers.

In November 1949, Vladimir Munk and Kitty, a person whom he met in Terezín, got married.
