    -This war was a fight for North America
    -13 colonies had been left alone for more than a century just to expand.
    -The French wanted the English colonists out of the Ohio River Valley so they made a rule to where they could not pass the Appalacian Mountains.

    -Ends the French and Indian War in 1763.
    -Because of this, the French lost all of their territory in North America.
    -Native Americans responded by attacking colonists and destroying their forts.

    -The British did not allow colonists to go past the Appalacian Mountains.
    -They sent troops to protect and prevent settlers from crossing the line.
    -The British Government were angry that colonists did not want to pay for their own protection

    -700 men were given secret orders to capture and destroy military supplies.

    -First major battle in the American Revolutionary War following the United States Declaration of Independence.
    -The largest battle of the entire conflict, and the first battle in which an army of the United States engaged.
    -The Hessians began to bombard the American lines stationed at Battle Pass but after hard work, we still won.

    -Was a suprise attack.
    -No one expected it because everyone was celebrating Christmas Eve so most soldiers weren't prepared and some were even probably drinking so couldn't fight.
    -Captured over 800 Hessian prisoners.

    -Turning point in the war.
    -Americans asked the Spanish and French Army to help them, so they did.
    -They trapped british troops and the only way they could get off was a ship but then the French sent out their army to make sure they don't escape so the British then had to surrender.

    -More than half of the men died before they even fought.
    -Too many men got frost bites and couldn't get food and froze to death in the snow.
    -Most of them couldn't go forward and were left behind because it was too cold for them all to stay healthy.

    -Weren't ready for another attack because of the one the day before a year ahead.
    -Washington captures another 300 British soldiers in New Jersey.
    -Washington would go on to lose the battles of Brandywine and Germantown.

    -The British General, Cornwallis moved all his troops to Virginia.
    -While Cornwallis and his troops were moving, it gave more time on Washington to set traps towards them.
    -A fleet of French battleships sailed close by so Cornwallis surrendered.

    -Officially ends the American Revolution giving Victory to the United States.
    -Great Britain also signed separate agreements with France and Spain.
    -Britain agreed to remove all of its troops from the new nation. The treaty also set new borders for the United States, including all land from the Great Lakes on the north to Florida on the south, and from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mississippi River.
