Took office in January of 1993. Clinton took 93% of the popular vote in the election that year. Clinton's tasks at hand was to create economic reform. During his term he was impeached. He was impeached because he was charged with lying under oath to a federal jury and obstruction of justice. I chose this event because he was one of the 4 US presidents to be impeached. I also chose this because his presidency was very controversial due to his impeachment. (Kruz and Zelizer, 204-205). -

Everyone on board was killed. I included this because it is yet another mysterious plane crash in US History. (Heller, 2022). -
A suicide attack by Al Qaeda. The ship was traveling through the Red Sea and make a stop in Yemen for fuel. The attack occurred then. 17 US sailors were killed and 40 were injured. Yemen and the US worked together to identify suspects and investigate the attack. By the closing of 2000 Yemen authority had arrested many suspects.I chose this because it was a start to Al Qaeda terrorist attacks before 9/11 which is a huge terrorist attack on our country. The USA Patriot Act was passed on October 26, 2001 right after 9/11 had occurred by the Bush administration. This act is used in preventing terrorist attacks. This act was passed in order to allow certain investigators to get information on terrorist crimes. The only issue seen in this act by people is that it demolished privacy rights at the government has access. I chose this because it was an act passed after a huge terrorist attack on the US. (Kruse and Zelizer, 255). -

By 2008 the economy worsened and in 2009 it totally bottomed out.The recovery years following were extremely slow.I chose this event because it was a big fall in the market closer to a time we have been alive!
