    The novel Uncle Tom's Cabin showed the reality of slavery. This novel was written by Harriet Beecher Stowe, a teacher at Hartford Female Academy.

    This battle lasted from April 6th to the 7th of 1862. This was held in Tennessee. This was one of the bloodiest battles ever. Over 23,000 deaths.

    The assassination of President Lincoln was one of the most sadden event in the United States history. He was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth. Lincoln was enjoying a play with his wife, Mary Todd, when John ran in and sot Lincoln in the back of the head. Lincoln went across the street to a medic to only lay in a coma for 9 hours, later passing.
