Slavery Abolished
Slave trading was a huge economic reliance within the colonies especially in te south. When slavery was to be declared abolished, every state south of Pennsylvania refused. Slave trade was to profitable for them to give up so easily. -
Battle of Bunker Hill
This battle helped lead the Americans to victory due to the supplies it provided. Most of the american army were farmers and people with little weaponry. This battle gave them supplies to allow them to gain weaponry and get back at the British even more. -
Colonies in Rebellion
King George formally declared the colonies rebelling. This was initially the initiator for the revolutionary war.The Americans had enough of what they thought the unfair British were being. The British also wanted to gain control of their colony once again by crushing them. -
Articles of Confederation
These articles were the first draft of the countries constitutions. These were created to inform the people of their rights and how society would function. However, these articles were not permanent because they later changed due to the states different opinions on how they should be written. -
Treaty of Paris
After all of the fighting, enough was enough. Both sides decided to sign a treaty to formally end the war and declare America Independent from Britain. This marked the grande finale to a giant culmination of what America stands for: Liberty, equality, and the pursuit of happiness. -
Constitutional Convention in Pennsylvania
This meeting of the current 13 states was to determine the current state of the constitution. They came together to argue and agree on how to construct and write the constitution. They did this for many days due to the fact that this document was to be the framwork that will build the society around them.
