  • Lexington and Concord

    The first battle of the Revolutionary War.

  • Decloration of Independence

    Written by Thomas Jefferson in 1776, based on Richard Henry Lee's resolution. It was a document stating that America has gained Independence from Britian after the war.

  • Do you lack "Common Sense?"

    A pamphlet published in newspapers in New York City basically further explaining the ideas put in the Constitution.

  • Battle of Saratoga

    Burgonye was forced to surrender his entire command to American Horatio Gates.

  • Treay of Paris

    treaty in which the British formally reconized the freedom of the U.S by giving them better traveling privelages in return for no laws blocking the British's tax collecting.

  • Land Ordinance of 1785

    A law that divided much of the U.S into townships to facilitate the sale of land to settlers.

  • U.S Constitution

    A contract establishing the government with direct authority over all citizens and protection for the rights of the States and every individual.
