He was the governor of Connecticut. He also was a part of the revolutionary war.He was the only who wen through as a governor through the Revolutionary War.

    John Witherspoon was born on the 5th of February in 1723 and he passed away on the 15th of November in 1794.He was a Scottish immigrant.He was a member of the Continental Congress and was part of it for more than a hundred of it committees. He was the president of the collage in New Jersey later known as the Princeton University.

    John Hancock was most know because of his big signature on the Declaration of Independence.He wrote it big on purpose so that they would notice that he didn't care about the British.He served as the 2nd president of Continental Congress.The very 1st Declaration only had his signature because the main one was not ready for signatures.

    The Declaration of Independence was approved on July 4,177.The authors were Thomas Jefferson,Benjamin Franklin,Roger Sherman,John Adam, and Robert R Livingston.The Declaration freed the colonist from Britain and also made the theory of the Government. Almost most of the ideas were borrowed from John Locke.The Declaration stated that the government was supposed to protect U.S citizens.

At the convention they planed a more firm and stronger government that had 3 branches.The 3 branches were the executive,legislative,judicial and the checks and balance system so they would all have equal power.They also added The Bill of Rights to the Constitution & so far they have been 27 amendments.

Neither should they lack of life liberty or property. This amendment was introduced by James Madison. It was voted 3/4 on the 15th of December in 1791.
