  • United Nations formation

    United Nations formation
    The name "United Nation" was made by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. It was first used in the Declaration of Independence.
  • Yalta Conference

    Yalta Conference
    The Yalta Conference was between Joseph Stalin, Winston Churchill, F D Roosevelt.
    The Following was achieved at the conference
    1- Stalin agreed to work with the establishment of the United Nations Organisation.
    2- Poland got free elections, and was held as soon as the war was over.
    3- A new declaration was released and it was called The Declaration on Liberated Europe.
    4- Roosevelt got criticised because he let the Russians in the war with Japan.
  • Potsdam Conference

    Potsdam Conference
    It was held from July 16th, all the way till August 2nd.
    It was the last of the WW11 conference's. The American was repersented by Truman. The Soviet Union by Stalin, and then the Britan's were repersented first by Winston Churchill and then by Clement Atlee, who defeted Churchill in the post-war British election in 1945.
    They discussed Allied control of defeated Germany, Reparations, The Oder/Neisse Line, and they also discussed Russia joining the war in the Far East.

    Marshall Plan provided money to Western Europe, Marshall believed that if they had the money and economy they wouldn't fall to communism and could later on be a sucessful trading partner to the Americans.

  • First Man on the Moon

    Neil Armstrong was on the Apollo 11 which blasted off on July 16, 1969. Armstrong and Aldrin landed on the moon four days later. They landed on it in the Lunar Module, it was called the Eagle. Collins didnt land on the moon with the others but he stayed in orbit around the moon , and he did experiments and took pictures.
