  • Galileo's First Telescope

    Galileo's First Telescope

    Galileo demonstrated his first telescope to the Venetian lawmakers. He made it at the University of Padua near Venice. He was not the inventor of the telescope but he made it wiht lots of magnifying power making it better.

  • The Exploration of Cosmic Space

    A Russian rocket scientist named Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, created The Exploration of Cosmic Space by Means of Active Devices, which was the first work that was published, that said that space exploration was actually possible.

    Robert H. Goddard was the first person to launch a space craft fueled by liquid. It was succesfully launched on March 16th, 1926

    The Soviet sent Sputnik 5 to space. The spacecraft contained 2 dogs, Strelka and Belka. The flight took one day, and both dogs returned to earth safely making them the first living beings to survive a trip throught space.
