When Trent Reedy was in first grade he had wrote a story about a Bad Man who stopped time and a Lion who threw Bad Man off a drawbridge; then saved time. But as years for Mr. Reedy went on, help from teachers and librarians helped inspire him to become a writer. -
University
After graduating high school, Trent Reedy went to the University of Iowa. He later majored in English. -
Iowa Army National Guard
To pay off his student loans, he joined the Iowa Army National Guard. He served a month and two weeks during the summer as a combat engineer. During his time in the National Guard her learned about rules, discipline, and weapons.
