This act wanted to prevent any type of technological interference in financial markets and any of America’s markets, the market reform act wanted to protect the market stability and its success.

    1991: Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty

    The Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty of 1991 was an equal arms control between the United States and the Soviet Union. This treaty was a way to lower the number of nuclear weapons in the U.S. and the Soviet Union. START I was known as the most successful nuclear weapon control agreement and was signed in 1991. START I produced bans on missiles and ballistic missiles. Due to the success of this act, more than 80% of the nuclear weapons were taken apart.

    This was a free trade agreement between Mexico, Canada, and the United States. President Bush was involved; he signed this act. Democrats are not in favor of this because it was seen as a threat to Americans who were involved in the workforce. Clinton enforced this agreement. The House passed this act with a high vote of 132 Republicans and 102 Democrats who were in favor of this to be passed. I feel that this represents a victory for President Clinton.     This was an act of terrorism that impacted the nation and its history. A truck had about 5,000 explosives, it was parked in front of the Alfred P. Murrah building. This bombing killed 168 people. This building held a daycare, killing many young infants and various ages. The nine-story building was knocked down into pieces, and 300 buildings were destroyed. The suspect in this bombing was Timothy McVeigh, a former U.S. Army member. This was a huge investigation for the FBI to deal with.

    The September 11th attack took place in New York City. Two twin tours were destroyed by hijackers. These hijackers flew two aircraft into the twin towers and collapsed immediately. Individuals were trapped inside of the building as they watched people take their own lives. Nearly 3,000 people died, 400 police and firefighters were killed. America was under attack by the terrorist of Saudi Arabia. A major person who was part act was Osama bin Laden.

President Bush signed this act that was after the September 11th attacks. This act would be able to unify the nations and their works and keep our nation’s homeland secure and safe.

The United States had entered a Category 5 Hurricane. It extended greatly into Florida and Mississippi. It destroyed many homes, lands, and ships.
