Charles Goodyear discovered valcanization The rubber rubbering was used by indigeneous people.
In Brazil rubber rubbering became the second most important commodity. But in 1910 there was a downfall & it got declined.
Till 1920 Amazon deforestation didn’t have any problem but after 1920 because of over population demand for timber and agriculture expansion highly started growing. -

Cattle ranching is one of largest cause of deforestation in amazon area. In 1960’s Brazil citizens were struggling with poverty and government. 1960’s Government brought new subsidies & made tax exemptions for large cattle farms to promote cattle ranching and so it got trippled. Brazil was & still is world’s largest beef exporter.
