    Thomas Kuhn is an American Philosopher who was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He had an interest in history and physics, more specific into the history of physics. He went to Harvard University were he gain a masters degree and a doctorate in physics.
  • Future in Harvard

    After obtaining his PHD in 1946, he got accepted to the Society of Fellows of Harvard. There he starting teaching a class on Humanities for undergraduates. It is there where he started learning about the works of Aristotle. This experience paint the way to the philosopher he became. He work at Harvard until 1956.

  • The Copernicus Revolution

    Thomas Kuhn published his first book in 1957 called The Copernicus Revolution. In this book he talk about Copernicus ideas and theories on how the earth is not the center of the universe but is in a planetary rotation around the sun. He distinguished his Copernicus ideas to be a break through on new ways to view science and helping future scientist like Newton come up with more accurate measures of the universe.

    Thomas Kuhn second contribution established his name as one of the greats in philosophy and in 1962 he published the The Structure of Scientific Revolution. It was published in “International Encyclopedia of Unified Science" he discussed the paradigm shift which is the phenomenon of change that occurs in science when changing theories and experiments to create a better understanding of what is being explained.
