Thomas Kuhn was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on 18 July 1922. He was the eldest children out of two of Samuel and Minnette Kuhn.

Kuhn graduated Harvard in 1943 with summa cum laude.

Kuhn started as fellow during fall of 1948. He took advantage the opportunity to reshape science as historian of science. Kuhn recognized that instruction materials taught to students were presented as "fact" and that the research processes that lead to that information were not often emphasized.

Kuhn attained his PhD in physics specialized on application of quantum mechanics to solid state physics in 1949

Kuhn published his first book in 1957 titled "The Copernican Revolution". Kuhn explained and elaborate the development of Heliocentric system theory.

Kuhn Published his second book titled "The Structure of Scientific Revolutions" in 1962. Kuhn explained on this book the idea of paradigm shift. He also explained those scientist contesting the normal idea that with different perspective and are incommensurable.
