The Structure of Scientifc Revolutions
Kuhn’s most famous work. Breaking through old norms and defining Science in a new way and changing old ways of thinking. In this book he describes that the exploration of science is not a linear task but small revolutions and shifts happen that greatly advance us in our discoveries, theories and knowledge. Broken up into phases ultimately leading to a “Paradigm Shift” that forever changes the way business is done in a certain field. -
The Essential Tension. Selected Studies in Scientific Tradition and Change
Published after The Structure of Scientific Revolutions, this work was intended to serve as a way to defend, build upon, and further explain Thomas Kuhn’s ideas and theses in his previous work. His work being what and his ideas so fresh it only naturally brought on many other philosophers who wished to put his ideas to the test. -
Black-Body Theory and the Quantum Discontinuity
Aside from what Kuhn is most generally known for (Paradigm Shift’s). In this work it was regarded as a good introduction for students who wanted to learn about photochemistry but was still on a budget. Being divided into 7 chapters, the first 4 where very well put together but started to fall apart near the end. -
Death
Thomas Kuhn eventually lost the battle with lung cancer.
