    The Native Americans and Americans fought along the banks of a river in central Indiana. It was very important because it decided what Tecumseh was going to do for the rest of the war and who he would ally with.

    The British attacked on the Americans at Fort Michilimackinac and eventually the Americans had to surrender. They both wanted the island because they new that it would help them trade with Native American tribes.

    The battle of Queenston Heights was the first major battle of the War of 1812. The plan was for the Americans to have a fast and easy victory that would cut off Britain's access to using Canada as a invasion platform.

    The Battle of River Raisin took place around Frenchtown, Michigan territory. A small force was sent to retake Detroit, but they failed. Wounded soldiers were left there after the battle and told that they would have transportation to safety soon, but the Native AMericans got to them before the transportation and murdered a vast majority of them.

    British general Henry Proctor led a siege on Fort meigs. Him and his men traveled down from Fort Malden in Upper Canada. The Americans clung to their Fort, and many lives were lost over a course of 5 days, and the British were forced to retreat.

    The Americans attacked a small British shipyard at York, and in retaliation, The British decided to launch their own raid on the American's main US shipyard, Sackets Harbor. The Americans were able to stand against them long enough and the British failed.

    After the US secured naval supremacy, the British began to retreat. They were followed by the Americans and were attacked. The British were outnumbered and defeated very quickly. Here, the British and Native American Alliance was broken.

    The capture of Fort Niagara was a surprise attack on the Americans. The Burning of Newark was an attempt to rid the British of any place to stay after the siege, which they suspected (by the Americans). The British forces were commanded by Gordon Drummond and John Murray.

    To try and get back to the US, British troops stormed Washington D.C. and set the White House on fire. They did this in retaliation of when Americans attacked the city York in Canada.

    The Bombardment of Fort McHenry was a battle over sea and land. The British were attacking. However, Baltimore had been preparing for this and was able to fight off the invaders. The Americans had done it again.

    The treaty of Ghent ended the war of 1812. It was signed by British and American representatives at Ghent, Belgium.The terms of the treaty were that all conquered territory was to be returned, and commissions were planned to settle the boundary of the United States and Canada.

    This battle occurred after the Treaty of Ghent was signed because both sides were unintentionally unaware of it. 50 British ships sailed into the GUlf of Mexico and prepared to attack. They arrived in hopes of conquering territory form the US that was lost in the Louisiana Purchase.
