The Time Traveler Explains
The Time Traveler talks about his theories of time travel and demontrates his model time machine at a dinner party. -
The Second Dinner Party
The Time Traveler has another dinner party and invites a group of men (including the narrator) and tells what happened when he time traveled. -
The First Day
The Time Traveler arrives in the year 802701. He meets some creatures called the Eloi and explores the area. He loses the time machine and gets scared. -
The Second Day
The Time Traveler thinks that the time machine is in a white sphinx that he saw the first day. He tries to be friends with the Eloi and hopes to figure out how to get the time machine back. -
The Third Day
The Time Traveler finds some strange creatures and saves a Eloi named Weena from drowning. He befriends her. -
The Fourth Day
The Time Traveler discovers a morlock, which is a strange looking creature, He watches it go escape down a mysterious well. -
The Fifth Day
The Time Traveler doesn't have enough courage to go down the well yet so he decides to go explore some more. He finds the Palace of Green Porcelain. -
The Sixth Day
The Time Traveler finally decides to go down the well. He finds the Morlocks and learn they are carnivous. He escapes them but faints. -
The Seventh Day
The Time Traveler goes back to the Palace to look for weapons to defend himself and Weena from the morlocks. It gets dark when they are in a forest, he starts a fire but then the morlocks attack. He fights them off and then goes back to asleep. He awakes and morlocks are attacking, Weena is gone, and a huge forest fire is approaching. The Time Traveler decides to run -
The Eighth Day
The Time Traveler goes back to the white sphinx and gets the time machine. He goes foward in time and sees a huge crab monster. He escapes the crab and goes in the future again. He sees a strange black rock looking creature and then goes back in time to tell his story.
