  • Frank and Florence Marry

    Frank and Florence marry in a small town in North Dakota. They were both 20 years old.
    Erikson's Fifth Stage- Intimacy vs Isolation- Becoming emotionally close to others in committed relationships or keeping to oneself
  • Frank buys a clinic in Fairbanks

    Frank graduates from Chiropractic school and buys a practice in Fairbanks Alaska. He moves Florence and his 3 children to Fairbanks and begins building a successful chiropractic clinic as he is raising his family.
    Erikson's Seventh Stage- Generativity vs Stagnation- Giving back to society by raising children and being productive at work and becoming involved in community activities and organizations
  • The kids learn to take care of the homestead

    Frank's 3 kids have to learn to take care of the homestead and all of the work that goes in to owning animals in Alaska in the winter. The oldest boy learned how to defrost pipes at 30 below and the girls took care of the horses.
    Erikson's Fourth Stage-Industry vs Inferiority- Learning to cope with new social and academic demands, learning how things work and understanding and organizing them
  • Frank Dies

    Frank dies at the age of 85 with all of his children nearby. He had great admiration for the life he had lived and was so proud of all of his children and grandchildren.
    Erikson's Eighth Stage- Integrity vs. Despair-The crisis between one's satisfaction with life dispite its imperfections and profound regret and wishing to be able to do one's life over but realizing it's too late.
