    German invaded Czechoslovakia, taking full control over the nation. Hitler demanded parts of Czechoslovakia to be a part of Germany, and the British Prime Minister at the time agreed, giving Hitler a piece of Czechoslovakia.

    The Soviet-Navi Pact was a non agression between Soveit Russia and Nazi Germany. Not many other people knew about this because Germany tried to keep it secert. It remained in effect until June 22, 1941.

    These invasions happened in less than 6 weeks, which was bad for Russia who was increasing their production of military equipment.

    France felt safe because they had the Maginot line: a series of underground tunnels and tank traps that were heavily armed
    Germans just simply went around it and it became a very expensive joke. By June 1940 most of the troops who had patrolled this defense line had surrendered, without the artillery having been used once, France had fallen to the Nazis.

    French and many British soldiers, who were taken by surprise by Hitler’s blitzkrieg, retreated to French port of Dunkirk (on the English channel) and had become trapped by the advancing German armies. The soldiers were trapped in Dunkirk so people from England come over in boats and rescured them.

    The period in WWII between Germany's Invasion of Poland and their invasion of France. It was so named because there was a war, but almost nothing was happening

    Operation Barbarossa was named after a German ruler who was supposedly going to rescue Germany in its time of need. At this time the Germans invaded Russia and by the end of the year, more than 3 million Russians had been taken prisoner and another million were dead.

    The attack on Pearl Harbor was an attack by the Japanese Imperial General Headquarters. The base was attacked by over 350 Japanese fighters, bombers and torpedo planes in two waves, launched from six aircraft carriers.
