Betty White met the love of her life Allen Ludden. They met on Password and it took two times for Betty to accept his offer. They got married in June of 1963. They had no kids together but Betty was the stepmother of Allen's three kids from a previous marriage.

In 1980, Betty White's husband was diagnosed with stomach cancer. He died a year later at age 63. At age 59 Betty White and family buried him next to his father in Graceland Cemetery. He died days before his 18th wedding anniversary and Betty never remarried.

In 1985 Betty White got her signature role as Rose Nylund on the show The Golden Girls. The show was a huge hit and aired until 1922 when Arthur decided to leave the show. They tried to do a play off series called The Golden Palace, but it just was not the same and only lasted for a season.
