Married to Francis C. Devine at 22 years old, becoming Rita V. Devine

After working at LaSalle College High School for 4 years, Rita was able to retire and become and fulltime wife and mother to 3 children. Her husband, Francis had just opened up a Corrugated box factory business with a colleague so Rita never had to work again.

In 1956, Rita and Francis moved into a small home in Quincy Hollow to start their family and new life. They were the first owners of the newly built home by William Levitt.

Around the 1960s, Rita began to acquire twin engine planes that she would solo pilot.

In 1968, the family moved into a larger but nonetheless Levittown home in Snowball Gate for the remainder of their lives.

Francis M. Devine, otherwise known as Uncle Mike, died in Levittown, PA in his mothers home.

At 90 years old, she finally sold the house she lived most of her life in, and moved into a new elder community.

Edward Patrick Devine died in 2019 due to a number of things but mostly alcoholism and an overdose. He left behind his wife Patricia, and his two children, Ryan and Colleen Devine.

Marion Chimney, died just last July during the Coronavirus pandemic. She lived till 87. Pictured is Rita and Marion before 2018 sharing a meal together.
