Retired
After working at LaSalle College High School for 4 years, Rita was able to retire and become and fulltime wife and mother to 3 children. Her husband, Francis had just opened up a Corrugated box factory business with a colleague so Rita never had to work again. -

Moved into first home
In 1956, Rita and Francis moved into a small home in Quincy Hollow to start their family and new life. They were the first owners of the newly built home by William Levitt. -

Around the 1960s, Rita began to acquire twin engine planes that she would solo pilot. -

Death of 1st child
Francis M. Devine, otherwise known as Uncle Mike, died in Levittown, PA in his mothers home. -
Sold House
At 90 years old, she finally sold the house she lived most of her life in, and moved into a new elder community. -
Death of 3rd child
Edward Patrick Devine died in 2019 due to a number of things but mostly alcoholism and an overdose. He left behind his wife Patricia, and his two children, Ryan and Colleen Devine. -
Death of younger sister
Marion Chimney, died just last July during the Coronavirus pandemic. She lived till 87. Pictured is Rita and Marion before 2018 sharing a meal together.
