    Anton Van Leeuwenhoek was salesman and a scientest in Dutch.
    Anton is mostly known as these days as the father of microbiolgy. He made improvments to the microscope. The improvment were diffrent optical lences.he also discoverd microorganisms which he referd them to animalcules because they looked like mini animals.
  • Robert Hooke

    in 1660 Robert Hooke mad the law of elasticity. the law of elasticity is which describes the linear variation of tension with extension in an elastic string. For that is what Robert Hooke was most known for, but in micrology he made a book (Micrographia) which it described what he saw with teloscope and microscope in 1665. which he first found and what we know today as cells.
  • Matthias Jakob Schleiden

    Matthias Jakob Schleiden was one of the co-founders of the cell theory. In 1838 Matthias wrote the book Contributions. This book explained his study of the different parts in the plant organism which he calls composed of cells. In 1863 he concluded that all plant parts are made of cells and that an embryonic plant organism arises from the one cell.
  • Karl Theodor Ernst von Siebold

    Karl Theodor Ernst von Siebold was a German physiolgist and zoologist. Karl was known for the Introduction of taxa Arthropoda and Rhizopoda. He was alos known for defining the taxon protozoa mostly for single celled organisms. He educated the lifestyle of tape worms, and discoverd other daseisis and malfuctions with other animals and insects.
  • Theodor Schwann

    Theodor Schwann was a german phtsicologist. He Also contributed to the cell Theory. He stated that new plant cells formed from the nuclei of old plant cells. He also later declared that all plants and animals have cells and cell products. Because of that speech made him most famous, then the theroy was later relized as the cell theroy

    Ignaz Semmelweis was Hungarian physician of German extraction. he discoverd that the incindence puerperal fever could be stoped by just using hand sanatizer
  • Florence Nightingale

    Florence Nightingale was a english nurse during the Crimean war. She wasknown as the lady with the lamp because she make most of her rounds during the night. She reconized for being one of the first to recromend cleanliness. It later lead to later in the war that less soldiers die if the nurses were clean and sanatized. Her birth day became reconized as the new national nurse day after she died.
  • Rodolf Carl Virchow

    Rodolf Carl Virchow was a german doctor, anthropologist, pathologist, prehistorian, biologist, writer, editer and politician. He helped proving the cell theory. he was also known to be cited to be the first to reconized the leukemia cells. Rodolf also Omnis cellula e cellula which explained how cells originate from other cells.
  • Louis Pasteur

    Louis Pasteur was a French Chemist and microbolgist. He discoverd principles of Vaccinations, Microbial Fermentation and pasteurization. He helped to prevent people from getting daseises. Because of this he has saved countles number of peoples lives.
  • Joseph Lister

    Joseph Lister was a British surgen and a pioneer antiseptic surgery. Joseph intoduced carbolic acid to sterillise surgical instruments and to clean wounds. Which later made surgery safer.
  • Robert Koch

    Robert Koch German physician and microbiologist. He is the modern foundern of modern bacteriology. Robert found that Bacilius anthracis could remain in dormant under specific conditions will still cause later disease. Later rejecting the idea suppoting the germ theory of disease.
  • William Stewart Halsted

    William Stewart Halsted was a American surgen. He Intoduced several new operations inculding radical mastectomy for breast cancer. He also preformed the first blood transfusion. He was later in life known as one of the four founding professers.
