1946-The Car Phone
The first wireless phone calls were made from cars and trucks. In the whole world the car phone could only place 12 calls at a time! -
1981-Portable Units
The first way you could carry a cell/mobile phone around was by carrying a portable unit. -
1983-The DynaTAC 8oooX
Dr. Martin Cooper created the first mobile phone. It weighed almost as much as a bag of sugar and had a battery that lasted only 8 hours. The DynaTAC cost $3,995. -
1993-CDMA
Code Division Multiple Access. These phones were made to sell in Korea. -
1999-The First Blackberry was made.
The first Blackberry was made. The first phone to have the ability to text. -
2007- The First iPhone
The first iPhone was created by Steve Jobs, and was the first phone that had apps and text. Both of those things were just introduced to the world. -
2013-Current Update
The world has made over 200 different cellular devices. This year Apple devices introduced the iPhone 5. -
2050-Future Prediction
Most of the world is waiting for a glass iPhone (See Through). This is what I think is going to be the next big thing.
