  • The Bet

    The Bet
    Edward was watching a horse race when he saw that the horses are in the air at one point. Some people to the side of him said to prove it and we will give you 25,000 dollars. So Edward went and took a lot of pictures of a horse running. Not only did he win the bet he saw that if pictures moved fast enough they looked like they were moving.
  • Nickelodens

    Nickelodens
    People were astonished by these new "short films" or "moving pictures". As they grew to bigger and bigger sizes more people want more new things. So they started shows called nickelodens. These were films with ether comedy, drama, and or skits. They also had piano music in the background.
  • Thomas wanting more

    Thomas Edison was in a great business with short films, but of course he wants more. He started buying out all companies that sold items needed to make movies. If anyone else tried making movies with out buying Thomas equipment the would have havoc to pay.
  • "I'm Famous"

    When film first started actors weren't noticed so that they weren't paid. Then around the 1920's they were finally starting to be paid and noticed. which made people like these actors and there forth watch more movies that the one actor was in.
  • The Propaganda

    As we start to roll up on the 1940's more and more films were being produced. But these films were not just any films they pushed people to join the army or support the army. There were even films pushing for woman's rights at this time.
  • The TV

    people liked going to see films yes but when they heard that they can stay home and watch them they loved it. around this time a lot of theaters closed due to new televisions and less customers coming.it got even worse when they started showing shows as long as movies.
  • New lands

    New lands
    Most people were tired of seeing the same setting over and over again. So move producers started going to new foreign places. which surprisingly worked and they got more fans and money.
  • The golden age

    These years are the years of which the best movies came to light. Most of these movies are still aired regularly to this day, and people still love them. Sadly new movies didn't help the golden age stay afloat and went down again in the 1980's.
  • Special effects start up

    Special effects start up
    More independent films where being made which means more money to use. These films were the first ever films to use special effects. most people were amazed to see something so rare and mystical.
  • "Lets go 3D bro!"

    "Lets go 3D bro!"
    The first ever 3D films were being shown to the public. people loved it so much they came up with so many crappy sequels to movies that didn't need it, but were added simply because it's 3D. But sadly people actually liked these movies and they gained in popularity once more.
  • "Don't call it a comeback!"

    Around this time not a whole lot of people were watching movies anymore. People just thought it was boring and that they can watch in on tv but then the " golden age part two" came along. this is when some of the most memorable movies came out.
  • "True Stories"

    "True Stories"
    Around this time most fake movies where going out of fashion, and we all needed something new. This year is the year were most True story movies come into play such as american sniper, Lincoln, and The Patriot. But most importantly who can forget Terminator Genisys oh just me, alright.
