The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is formed by the United States, Canada, and many of the democratic nations in Europe. In response to the unfriendly treatment of the Soviet Union in NATO, the Soviet Union founded the Warsaw Pact, which included many communistic states throughout Eastern Eurrope. -
