    He was a political leader, who was born in 1890 and died in 1969. He was a main rule of Communism in Vietnam. He helped contribute to the spread and idea of communism.

    The president of Russia at the end of the Cold War. He and President Bush formally ended the Cold War. It is significant because the Cold War was finally over and they did not have to worry about Communism anymore.

    The worlds organization for international peace. It keeps everything and every country in check.

    This was the separation of East and West Soviet Union. It seperated communism and Democracy. It led to countries spliting in half instead of the entire country being one or another.

    An American Cold War policy that supported Greece and Turkey with economic and military support to prevent them from becoming Communist. It is significant because those were stratigic countries that we did not want to fall to communism.

    This was an American program to aid Europe. We gave them economic support to helpe stop the spread of communism. It was significant because we were trying to stop the spread of Communism, and help rebuild a war devestated region.

    The US supplied food and fuel to the Citizens of West Belin. The Berlin Airlift helped the allies to be stronger so they could resist communism.

    This was an association of the United States and European countries, to defend themselves against the Societ Union. It was historicallt significant because they took action to defend themselves and form an alliance against Soviet Union, so if they attacked one of them, they all would attack back.

    Mao Zedong took over China, and made it Communism, and this was a blow to the Unites States, because we had been funding China to keep it from becoming Communist. It was the largest country in Asia, and it was now Communist. It is historically significant becuase we had been funding it, and it still was converted, but it was not enough.

    The treaty was signed to keep a close eye of the communist parties, and was a way to strengthen the military of the alliances. The importanve is it was a mass grouping of alliances to help end Communism.

    This was established by Lech Walesa in Poland, and was the first non- communist party in the Warsaw pact country. It rapidly grew and became very popular, and the US supported them finiacially. It is important becuase the US was involved helping them, and trying to give them more power.

    The Berlin Wall was built to keep Germany seperated between commmunist and non communist states, and it was started to be torn down, to allow Germany to be reunited. It allowed Germany to become one country again, and to strengthen themselves as one instead of being split.
