    Igor Gouzenko was born into the Soviet Union in 1919. He wasn't pleased with their ways. They were trying to get secrets about the atomic bomb. He found out that his family will be sent back to russia so he traded the Canadian governtment secrets for prtection. He and his family went into hding and wore a mask in public to hide himself.

The Soviet Union had broken an agreement with its former allies which had encouraged them to forfit thier rights to obtain western Berlin.

Canada allowed the US to put up defence protection in NWT to make Distant Early Warning (DEW) radars were put along DEW lines that allow Canada and the US to know when enmy missles and aircrafts are coming from at most 4800km away.

    Bomarc MissionJohn Diefenbaker allowed 56 American-made Bomarc missiles in Ontario and Quebec acting according to the NORAD clause. In 1960 their was a lot of Canadaian controversy about allowing nuclear weapons on Canadaian soil. Diefenbaker became unsteady and called an ellection that was won by Lester B. Pearson who later allowed the Bromac missile in Canada.

People were in shock. People were entering the Berlin Wall from each side and some of them started chipping at it with hammers and chisels. East and West Germany turned into a single german State.
