ROBERT JOHNSON "The king of delta blues"
Robert Johnson had no self-confidence or skill as a blues musician. Sad about this, Robert disappears for a while. And one day he decided to invoke the devil and ask him to give him extraordinary abilities to play and sing and he would give him his soul.
His death was not public at the time. There is evidence that he died in 1938. But it took 30 years to find his death certificate, without official cause. -
BRIAN JONES
Brian Jones was one of the founding members of the band "The Rolling Stones", in this band he played the guitar and also the harmonica.
Jones develops a strong addiction to drugs in 1969 and leaves Mick Jagger's gang.
Shortly after, he was found dead in the swimming pool of his home. -
ALAN WILSON "Blind Owl"
Alan was one of the pioneers of blues rock during the genre's heyday in the 1960s and co-founder, guitarist, and vocalist of the Folk Rock group Canned Heat. On September 3, 1970, his body was found in a sleeping bag and in the middle of a forest in California's Topanga Canyon. The cause of death was from a barbiturate overdose, but the theory of whether it was a suicide or not is still disputed, as no farewell notes or indications were found that it had been a voluntary act to end his life. -
JIMI HENDRIX
The details of Hendrix's death are complicated. It is known that he spent his last hours in London accompanied by his last girlfriend and the only witness to his death. According to his autopsy, the guitarist drowned in his own vomit, intoxicated with barbiturates on September 18, 1970. His companion found him in the morning still breathing but unconscious. He called an ambulance, but by the time he arrived it was too late, Hendrix had died. -
JANIS JOPLIN "the queen of Rock and Roll and psychedelic Soul"
Less than three weeks had passed since Hendrix's death when Janis Joplin was found dead on the floor of her hotel room on October 4, 1970.
The autopsy revealed that the cause of death was an overdose of heroin, possibly combined with alcohol. There is some mystery surrounding the fact that Janis did not die instantly with such a strong dose, as the heroin in her system could have killed her from immediately, but did not. -
JIM MORRISON "The lizard King"
Jim Morrison, The Doors singer was found dead in the bathtub of his Paris apartment on July 3, 1971. An autopsy was not done because the doctor who first treated him assured that there was nothing suspicious in the house and that the cause of death was heart failure. Since then, much has been written and said about Jim Morrison's death. Some of his friends even claim that it was an overdose. -
GARY TRAIN
Gary Thain was a bass player known for his latest band, Uriah Heep.
In September 1974, during a show in Dallas, Gary accidentally received an electric shock from which he did not fully recover for the rest of his life and in early 1975 he was fired from the group due to his addiction to heroin but it was until the December 8, 1975 when he died at his London home from an overdose. -
CHRIS BELL
Chris was a soloist and leader of Big Star. Bell was killed when his vehicle collided with a wooden post in the early morning hours of December 27, 1978. The musician was returning from his father's restaurant in East Memphis when he lost control of the car and died instantly after impact. -
PETE DE FREITAS
Pete was the drummer for the famous band Echo and the Bunnymen. In 85, he left the band and settled in New Orleans, where he founded The Sex Gods. But it is not a good time for Pete, as he begins to abuse drugs and alcohol, in addition to having several accidents in which he almost lost his life.Two years later he returns to Liverpool and is part of his old band again. But on June 14, 1989, his motorcycle collided with a car and this time he could not escape death. -
KURT COBAIN
Nirvana singer, songwriter and guitarist Kurt Cobain joins the Club de los 27 in 1994, Cobain died of a gunshot to the head; There are those who say it was a suicide and others who claim it was murder. On April 5, 1994, after injecting a high dose of heroin, he decided to shoot himself, leaving behind his wife and 20-month-old daughter as well as to a legion of heartbroken fans all over the planet. -
KRISTEN PFAFF
Kristen was the bassist for the group Hole and Janitor Joe. When joining Hole due to the surroundings she becomes addicted to heroin. She leaves the group temporarily to enter a detoxification center once "clean" returns to Seattle to collect her belongings and settle permanently in Minneapolis, something she could never do since she was found dead on June 16, 1994, just two months later. After Kurt Cobain's death, she was found in her apartment, dead from a heroin overdose. -
SEAN MCCABE
Sean Mc Cabe was a singer for Ink & Dagger. Not much is known about his life, it is only known that he died of asphyxia after choking on his own vomit and was discovered in a hotel room on August 28, 2000. -
JONATHAN BRANDIS
Jonathan was one of the teenage idols of the nineties, he was also an actor, director and screenwriter. At the end of the 90s, Jonathan's fame faded and he put his faith in projects that nobody remembers, he left a depression in Jonathan and he started drinking.
It was in 2003 that Jonathan Brandis decided to take his own life, hanged himself in his Los Angeles apartment, and although he was found alive, he died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center from the injuries he sustained. -
RICHEY JAMES EDWARDS
Richey is the guitarist and lyricist for the Welsh rock band Manic Street Preachers. Edwards has been missing since 1995. On 23 November 2008, for legal purposes, the British court declared him "presumed dead".
His disappearance and presumed death is a mystery since the whereabouts of Richey or his body are unknown. -
AMY WINEHOUSE
Her career was a success but on a personal level she had a tragic history due to the excessive use of alcohol.
In 2011 her bodyguard found her dead in her bed from a series of addiction problems. In Amy Winehouse's last years, she always had serious difficulties handling fame and media pressure, fighting for years against drugs and alcohol. But on July 23, 2011, she was found unconscious in her bed, without a pulse. Medical personnel declared her dead from alcohol intoxication.
