This could allow for AR/VR to be constantly in front of us, thus essentially putting us wherever we choose, whenever we choose. For example, you could call your significant other (like FaceTime or Skype) and be instantly submersed in the environment they are in, with them standing next to you (so it seems) and you would not be able to tell a difference.
