  • First Telephone Invented

    First Telephone Invented
    Alexander Graham Bell was the inventor of the first telephone. The first phone call was when Alexander Graham Bell called Watsons, his assistant.
  • First Telephones

    In July of 1877, the Bell Company was formed by Gardiner Hubbard. The Charles Williams shop made the first telephones with the help of Watsons and by the end of July, there were 3,000 telephones in service.
  • New General Manager

    Hubbard named Theodore Vail, who at that time was the superintendent of the Railway Mail System, as the new general manager of the Bell Company. This decision would lead to the giant monopoly, the "Bell System". The Bell company had 10,00 thousands phones that were in service at that time.

    The Hand Cranked Wall was invented in the 1880's. It is a telephone that is connected to the wall.
  • Bluetooth

    Wireless control of communication between a mobile phone and a handsfree headset. A typical Bluetooth mobile phone headset has a hook which you can hook behind your ear. This keeps the headset in place. The headset was founded in 1910 by a Stanford University student.

    The desktop rotary phone is also known as Model 500 telephone. The Model 500 telephone has a circle in the base and a handset where you can listen to the opposite side.

    The touchtone was developed by Western Electric. The Touch-tone system uses the telephone keypad and gradually replaces the rotary dial.

    The sliding keyboard phone is a phone which has a bigger screen though it is thicker. You can slide the keyboard out from the side or you can just use it straight up.

    The wall touchtone is exactly the same as the touchtone. Using the keypad. The improvement is that it is stuck to the wall. There is also a place for the handset to rest.

    The smartphone is a mobile phone that is built on a mobile operating system. They also have more advanced capability and connectivity than a feature phone.
  • Cordless

    The cordles phone is a phone where it can connect to the base by the charger. The keypad is on the wireless part and the base ca be connected to a wall or on the table.
  • Clamshell/ Flip

    Clamshell/ Flip
    The clamshell or flip is a phone where teh screen is folded on top of the keypad. It is more likely to be called clamshell than flip. When you flip the screen open, it is on and you can use it.
  • Candy Bar Phone

    Candy Bar Phone
    The Candy Bar phone is a small phone with a small rectangular screen. The buttons are in rows and columns. It is small and portable.
  • Touchscreen

    Touchscreen
    A touchscreen phone is a phone where the screen is almsot as large as the phone. There is no sliding keyboard or keyboard. You have to open the app where a keyboard is needed and a keyboard pops out. This is more convenient as it is smaller and lighter. You can also use your fingers to move the screen and choose different things.
