TR the Rough Rider at San Juan Hill
TR made a volunteer regiment to fight the Spaniards. In the battle of San Juan Hill TR said it was "the great day of my life." He led a series of charges up Kettle Hill towards San Juan Heights on his horse. He killed a Spaniard with his revolver and motivated his men to march onwards. -

Roosevelt's Department of Justice prosecuted the Northern Securities Company for violating the Sherman Act. The Supreme Court agreed with the administration's position and ordered the Northern Securities company dissolved. -

TR was an outdoorsman so he put Yosemite Valley and Mariposa Grove under federal jurisdiction with the rest of the park to protect its natural beauty. -
Passage of Pure Food And Drug Act
The Act prevented companies from misbranding or adulterating food and drugs in interstate commerce. -
Meat inspection Act
The act that was signed in by TR made it to ensured that livestock were slaughtered and processed under sanitary conditions. It was mandated that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) inspect all cattle, swine, sheep, goats, and horses both before and after they were slaughtered and processed for human to ensure it was being done in a sanitary way. -

TR went to Africa to hunt and collect specimens for the Smithsonian Institution. He left the presidential stage for his desire for action. -
