The Battle of San Juan Hill was part of the Spanish-American war. This is what Teddy Roosevelt said was the greatest day of his life. He led charges up Kettle Hill to San Juan Heights and helped win the battle as a leader. He became known as the hero of the Rough Riders.

The Coal Strike was when coal miners went on strike in order to obtain better pay and hours. With winter near, the president threatened to intervene so both sides quickly made amends and the Coal Commission was established. The miner recieved better pay and got 9 hour workdays.

The Northern Securities case was great for TR because it proved he was a man of the people and wasn't gonna sell out to big organizations/monolopies. He prosecuted the Northern Securities Company for violating the Sherman Act and it was truly a great victory.

This was one of the more impactful signings that President Roosevelt made throughout his tenure as president. This act prohibited the sale of misbranded livestock and derived products. On top of that it ensured that all animal slaughter would be sanitary as well as the processing of the livestock.

This passage was important because it helped raise TR public view and trust. The act was created to prevent the sale or transportation of misbranded or poisonous food, drugs, medications. Before this was passed literally everything could be sold and there was little to no review.

Teddy Roosevelt felt as if Taft didn't do a good job in his presidency and decided that he would run again. He failed to get nominated as Republican Party representative and made his own party called the "Bull Moose" party. He failed to get re elected as president because he just split votes with Taft so that allowed for Woodrow Wilson to become elected as the new United States president.
