However, he ended up going through a tramatic breakup and he figured out that his grandparents were actually his parents. These two events are speculated to be major reasons he devolved into the role of a serial killer.

    On this date, Ted Bundy brutally assaults, both physically and sexually, an 18-year-old dancer and student from the University of Washington. The woman survives, but suffers brain damage for the rest of her life. He also kills another student from the same unviersity later in the month and dumps the body in a different location.

    Ted Bundy both kidnaps and murders a 19-year-old student from Evergreen State College.
  • Ted Bundy Murders a Student by Pretending to Be Injured

    Ted Bundy strikes again on this date, this time on a female student from Central Washington State College. He did this by luring the student to his Volkswagen Beetle by posing as an injured person.
  • Bundy Changes Tactics, Kills Two Female Students on the Same Day

    Bundy decides to change his tactics by stalking his victims in parks during the day instead of university campuses during the night. From this, he is able to murder two more female students from Lake Sammamish State Park on the same day. He is witnessed doing this and has police sketches of him released. His psychology professor, girlfriend, and co-worker all report him as a possible suspect, but police do not look into this claim further as Bundy had a clean record at the time.

    Bundy once again changes tactics, stalking young females but not explicitly university students. He is able to kill another 3 women in this month alone.

    Bundy Kills Fails to Kill Two Others

    Bundy continues to kill based on his new tactic, but ends up failing twice. The first time, he lured a young woman into his police car citing that he needed to bring her down to the station. He was able to successfuly take her inside his car and handcuff her. However, when he tried to hit her with a crowbar, she was able to escape by jumping out a window of the car he was driving. The next foiled murder happened because he failed to convince a teacher and a student to get in his police car.

    Bundy is able to kill a high school student after the teacher and the student from earlier refused to get in the car. He successfully abducts her and kills her later.

    Bundy Murders 4 in Idaho and Colorado

    Ted Bundy decides to stalk his victims in the states of Idaho and Colorado, most likely due to the fact that several eyewitness reports were being filed against his crimes. He is able to kill another four females by once again pretending to be injured. One of them was outside a hotel Bundy was staying at, two were on a ski hill, and one was at a junior high school.
  • Bundy Arrested After Failing to Stop for an Officer

    Ted Bundy is arrested for the first time after failing to pull over for a police officer. Officers searched his trunk and found a variety of burglary tools that were able to link him to the foiled kidnapping of the female student and to the murders in Utah.
  • Bundy is Convicted of Kidnapping and Sentenced to 15 years in Prison

    Bundy is tried due to the burglary tools found in his car, and he is successfully linked to the foiled kidnapping of the female student when he was posing as a police officer. He is sentenced to 15 years in prison.
  • Bundy Escapes from Custody and Caught Less than a Week Later

    Awaiting trial for one of his Utah murders, Bundy is able to escape after visiting the court's law library. Bundy is caught only six days later, however.

    Ted Bundy escapes from prison again. It isn't discovered that he is gone until the next day.

    During this time, Bundy lives in Flordia after escaping from prison.
  • Ted Bundy Attacks Five Female Students on FSU Campus

    Ted Bundy, after escaping from prison, moves to Flordia and continues his killing rampage. He goes to a Flordia State University campus and attacks 4 female students. Two of them die from their injuries while the other two survive. Then, Bundy breaks into another student's room and attacks her as well, but she also survives.
  • Bundy Kills 12-year-old, Caught Again Less Than a Week Later

    Ted Bundy kills a 12-year-old girl in South Flordia, and is later arrested after stealing a Volkswagen Beetle. He is later convicted and sentenced to death.
  • Ted Bundy Executed

    After losing several court appeals, Ted Bundy is finally executed for his crimes.
