    From Umbrella To Dive Bomber
    After Hans heard of a man who parachuted to Earth safely, he decided to perform an experiment where he climbed on to the windowsill with an umbrella and jumped. He twisted every muscle and even broke a leg, but from that moment he discovered he wanted to become a dive bomber. This is an example of a turning point. This small event created Hans's future life, and was the reason why he became a dive bomber. This connects to the theme as he persevered through adversity (the fall).
  • Military School: Wildpark-Werder

    Military School: Wildpark-Werder
    Hans was one of the 60 out of 600 to be admitted to Wildpark-Werder, a Military School, but the work was difficult. He worked two months of hard Labour service, then put through the mill, and then training was complete in 6 months. This is an example of positive character development, as he was turning into a strong and brave man. This relates to the theme as Hans persevered through the rough work for the over all goal of becoming a future dive bomber.
  • Officer Senior Cadet

    Officer Senior Cadet
    Hans arrived in Graz to report to his Stuka formation as and officer senior cadet. That was his first time holding a sort of power. This is an example of a positive charcater developement as he then holds authority and because of this, Hans gains wisdom and experience. This connects to the theme as he persevered and woked so hard to get to this point, and was rewarded with his hard work by acheiving his goal or becoing a dive bomber.
  • 3rd Squadron

    3rd Squadron
    Hans gets transferred from the first flight to the 3rd squadron as engineer officer where he would later lead as one of the greated Stuka Pilots ever to have walked the Earth. This is a major turning point as this is THE squadron, where he met Flt./Lt. Steen, one of his role models, and also embraces his destiny and learns everyhting there is to know about Stukas. At this point, you could say Hans had a set back as he lost his rank, but he worked hard and later regained it.

    The Marat And The Oktobrescaja Revolutia
    Hans manages to destroy 2 massive Russian battleships weighing 23,000 tons each, one of his most remarkable achievements! This can be seen as character development as Hans began to increase his strength, knowledge, and leadership skills as a Stuka Pilot. From his pereserverence during the battle and toil poured into defeating the battleships he was rewarded with acknowledgment from the Wing Commander and a reccomendation of a special honor, the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross.

    Knight's Cross Of The Iron Cross With Golden Oak Leaves, Swords And Diamonds
    Hans is awarded with the Third Reich's most prestigious award created by Hitler himself just for Hans. As positive character development, Hans finally matured and became the phenomenal leader he was. He may have been on the wrong side of the war, but achievements are still pretty remarkable. This connects to the theme as after the years and years he had poured into his job Hans finally reached his ultimate goal in life.
