    The Soviet Union lunched their first space craft, to orbit the Earth.Scaring the Americans, because wwe thought if they could put that in space maybe they could put firearms into.

    The Russins set the first livivng thing into space, a dog. Althpught they did get the dog into space the dog did not live thought the space mission. The heat was what killed the dog.
