    First Telescope
Galileo made the first telescope in 1609. He made it able for us to see 3 times as close to the object. The second telescope he made, he was able to see 20 times farther.
  • Tsiolkovsky Rocket Equation

    Tsiolkovsky Rocket Equation
This equation tells of how an object could burn off a part of it's mass and move from momentum. It describes of how the object could exert a maximum change of velocity of the object if no external forces act. (No other forces move it.)
  • Goddard Launches The First Liquid Fueled Rocket

Goddard Launches The First Liquid Fueled Rocket
American Robert H. Goddard, who successfully launches the world’s first liquid-fueled rocket at Auburn, Massachusetts, on March 16, 1926. The rocket traveled for 2.5 seconds at a speed of about 60 mph, reaching an altitude of 41 feet and landing 184 feet away. The rocket was 10 feet tall, constructed out of thin pipes, and was fueled by liquid oxygen and gasoline.
  • V-2 Rocket

    V-2 Rocket
Nazi Germany made this rocket. It was the world's first guided ballistic missile. They used this as a "vengeance" weapon, meaning they shot this at allied cities who were in rebellion against them.
  • First Animals In Space

    First Animals In Space

Neil Armstrong was the first man to step on the Moon followed by Buzz Aldrin, this made the U.S. take the lead in the space race.
  • Helios 2

    Helios 2
Was the closest satellite to the Sun, it was only 0.29 AUs away.
  • Mir

    Mir
Mir was the first constantly inhabited space station.
  • Hubble Space Telescope

    Hubble Space Telescope
This is the first telescope in Space.
  • First shuttle to land on a celestial body in the outer solar system

First shuttle to land on a celestial body in the outer solar system
Cassini-Huygens was the name of the lander, it was sent to see what Jupiter's moon Titan looked like, and just happened to be the first to land in the outer solar system.
  • First probe to land on a comet

First probe to land on a comet
Rosetta was the first probe to land on a comet, it is still searching the comet looking at the surface. It was launched in 2004, but only landed on the comet in 2014.
