    The first telescope was made by Hans Lipperhey who is a German spectacle maker. Many people credit Galileo Galilei on making the first telescope, but this is not true. Galileo was the first to use a telescope, but Hans is the fist person to make one because he has the oldest patient application which was on September 25, 1608.
