An army of Chinese volunteers was formed. About 4,000 people joined the riot to fight with the Japanese. Unfortunately, because the Chinese only have minimal military training and poor weapons, so they lose.

The Chinese Singaporean where checked if they where allies or not for example if their hands where rough or soft or if you had glasses or not. If you had something they didn't like they would take you to a prison same with around 100,000 other Singapore Chinese.
